Yay finally got a chance to look at week 3. I looked at three of the different wikis and here are my comments:
Wisconsin heritage wiki- this was an example of a wiki that you had to pay for before you could look at the information or add information. I didn't realise there was wikis that limited there access in this way.
Book lovers wiki= looks like it was a great project while it was running but is no longer being added too. It would be a good way to get our book clubs and community involved in adding comments (that we could use in our great reads). However i think the way they went with adding review to the catalogue is probably the better way to go as it is more visible and you would probably get more feedback this way.
Wookieepedia- star wars wiki- sorry i'm not a follower so it didn't make much sense to me but it would be great for people that shared this passion for star wars. as they could accesst this information at anytime and say what the latest goss was. I noticed that it had detailed information about upcoming games that are to be released later this year.
I though the idea of having a wiki containing our heritage photos and information that people could their own comments and memories to would be a great community project and would bolster the local history information that we have.
